TED Talk – Robots that fly and cooperate
Today I would like to share a TED Talk by Vijay Kumar who studies the control and coordination of multi-robot formations at the University of Pennsylvania. He along with his team at University of Pennsylvania designed small robots who can fly. They not just fly but can also form different shapes and patterns when they are in group. This robots have the intelligence to communicate with the its neighbors to form different formation or patterns. Check out the video above for more information and explanation from Vijay Kumar and his team.
“Robots like this have many applications. You can send them inside buildings as first responders to look for intruders, maybe look for biochemical leaks … [or they] can be used for transporting cargo.” – Vijay Kumar (@ TED Talk)
