I am sure every mac lover specially developers would love this news, A thinner version of Macbook Pro is in production according to a Chinese blog DIGITimes.

They where informed by a trusted source that a 13 and 15 inch Macbook pro is in production. This thinner version will not have optical drive which would make it as thin as the Macbook Air, but inspite of being thin its specs would heavier than Air.

Macbook Air is the thin and lighter but it is not good when it come to heavy usage like development and designing. Macbook Pro is going to be a hardware monster with large SSD memory and intel i5 and i7 CPUs at its core may be the quad core one, which would boost its performance.

It is also said that this new version of Macbook pro would be available at the same time when the new ultra-slim laptops or the ultrabooks from many different vendors would be available in the market.

Well anyways i am more exited about new Macbook Pro than any other ultra slim laptops… keep reading for more info on this.

What should we call this new amazing gadget, iPad 3 or just a new iPad. Probably apple want their iPad to be named just like that a new “iPad” and they don’t want to number them any more. But I am sure most of you had waited a long for a new Apple launch like i did.

Well apple fans had a lot of expectation from this launch which did not seem to be met. The list of features are not a surprise or rather these are once we all expected to see.(well every thing has a reason.. isn’t it .. ) Lets quickly get into the main highlight feature list.

Retina display

When it comes to display, Apple iPhone 4 + have the best display ever for mobile platforms, they called it Retina display and they brought it on new iPad too. Everything you do with iPad, you do through its large, beautiful display. A5x Processor

The A5X chip with quad-core graphics drives four times the pixels of iPad 2 yet it delivers the same smoothness and fluidity iPad is known for. It is apples first device to powered by a quad core processor. Though hi processing speed means more power consumption the new iPad still gets an amazing 10 hours of battery life.

iSight Camera and HD video recording

Apple AirPlay

The new iPad would be available from 16 March and is priced at $499 . It is not yet know that this new iPad would be available in India on the same day not don we know the pricing of new iPad in India but i am sure you can go for the iPad 2 since its price would be surely going down.

According to a press release from Apple, on May 31st Apple is going to unveil its cloud computing platform called iCloud at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which will be held on 6th June (Monday, next week).

After Oracle and Microsoft announcing their cloud computing services it was very much expected that apple will be soon reveling its strategy on the emerging cloud platform. Thought the site do not contain much information about this platform.

Internet and cloud computing community is eager to know what Apple can offer with iCloud and does it compete to Microsoft’s cloud service Windows Azure.

Also according to the same note at WWDC Apple would also reveals it’s new Lion Mac OS X and more improved iOS 5. WWDC Apple will also allow iPhone developers to test their existing application on iOS 5.

iPad 2 is officially available in India. It is with 7′inch display and very light-weight and thinner than iPad. You can check it out at any iStore in major cities. I just had a hand on it at R City mall iStore. OS was very much the same, but clarity was really awesome. I open techgearz on it and it was really looking cool, just like made for iPad 2.

It is available in 16 gb and 32 Gb version with wifi and 3G. 16 GB with wifi cost you around Rs30,000 and with 3G its wound 36,000.

Few months back we had seen some  Chinese devices in market powered by android claiming to be iPAD killer.  It was in news all over the internet and tech-blogs. iPhone 4 – will it make a change all over again. Well thats a question yet to be answered. But this Ad from apple has some answer to that.

Apple has released a new Ad for iPhone 4 featuring their Product managers and marketing experts explaining new features form iPhone 4, which is expected to make a debut soon.

Most attractive features are 5 Mpx camera with LED flash light and front camera for exclusive video calling. It also has multi-tasking features from new iPhone OS.

Other features in the line are new large battery with 40% extra life compared to current iPhone and new A4 processor chip. Their are also many hardware improvements in new iPhone, like more durable and high quality LED display. HD quality video capture capacity etc.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve entered into an agreement with Atebits (aka Loren Brichter) to acquire Tweetie, a leading iPhone Twitter client. – By Evan Williams, CEO Twitter.

Twitter always had a special consideration for the mobile section. Its 140 character limit is also a reason for the same, people could easily post to twitter by sending SMS. We have also seen in the recent months how, twitters mobile version of web has transformed in terms of features and looks, which clearly indicated the Twitters grwoing interest towards mobile market.

Following this strategy, Twitter CEO Evan Willams has officialy announced  they are going to accquire Atebits - iPhone App Tweetie and it would be officaly called as “Twitter for iPhone”. This offcial announcement was made on Twitter blog. It also said that Tweeties founder Loren Brichter would be joining Twitter team and will be working on Tweetie for iPad.

Tweetie is a very populate iPhone App, it have also won an awards for 2009 Best Apple Design Award. Its currently available in iTunes app Store for $ 2.99, Twitter has also announced that they will make this app free on iTune Stores, everyone can download it now for free.

Well a iPhone app was expected from twitter, but it would be an acquisition of Tweetie no would have expected. Perhaps this could be  first Acquisition from Twitter, this shows how fast twitter is growing and they may also join the Acquisition league soon.

Apple® today announced that it sold over 300,000 iPads in the US as of midnight Saturday, April 3. These sales included deliveries of pre-ordered iPads to customers, deliveries to channel partners and sales at Apple Retail Stores. Apple also announced that iPad users downloaded over one million apps from Apple’s App Store and over 250,000 ebooks from its iBookstore during the first day.

Apple continue the league of revolution, first with the Apple Mac, then iPods followed by iPhone and now the tabloid iPad.  There is also a rumor on April 8th Apple will give a show case its new Apple iPhone OS 4 which would cover many new features like multitasking  etc.

Last weekend Apple release the iPad. Forums, technology blogs and people all over the world has still not over come the hangover.
Though iPad is not released in Inida but new channels and pint media here have been featuring iPad storied all over.

Well HP says they can over come this iPad mania, soon HP will have a iPad competitor i.e HP -Slate. HP release a 30 second demo of new HP- Slate, powered by windows 7 , powerful camera and a HDTV slot. Demo also feature few cool in built social networking apps. They have not yet announced the cost HP-Salte.

Hope Google will soon join this race with their Android power Google – slate which they have already presented on google-concept website.

What is HTML 5  ?
Its a new web standard for developing web sites and web applications. W3C is bringing in more advance features in HTML, so that you can develop more interactive features in your web applications and users can access them without downloading any plugins like flash player or Microsoft silverlight plugins or any such replated plugins. These features will be built in your browsers, For example, HTML5 introduced a <video> tag to show videos in your website; in current version of HTML you do it either by <object> / <embed> tags which also require you to download some plugins / activex controls for flash or silverlight.

YouTube has recently launched HTML5 version, which plays video with the HTML5 <video> control. Early you need to download a flash player to view youtube videos and with HTML5 you need not do that. This version was released since Apple launched the iPAD which do not support flash and has only HTML5 video support. So now iPad users can view YouTube HTML5 videos using HTML5 enabled safari browser.

But YouTube do not support Firefox… and what is the reason.

YouTube videos are using H.264 codec to convert their videos which is a patented technology, meaning that it is illegal to use without paying license fees. ( Google and Apple are paying a huge amount for using this codec.)

Which means that if your need to show Youtube videos using HTML5 You need to embeed this codec in browsers HTML parser.

Firefox is a free open souce product which designed with open web concept and they do not believe in using paid codecs in their browser. Firefox support open media format. (.OGG format)

Youtube using H.264 codec has brough a big hurdle for Firefox users. Though Youtube Flash player is still supported and firefox users can view youtube video.  At present youtube HTML5 vides are only supported by Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Microsoft IE with Google Chrome extension.

Hope soon firefox will come with some work around to access YouTubes HTML5 videos in Firefox.
