Orkut comes with another creative idea that is orkut “Promote” tool. Now orkut users can promote there profile or any thing they wish to promote with their friends on orkut. This promotion / Ads will appear in the advertisement column in the orkut homepage / profile.

If your friends like your promotion then they could promote it to there friends using the share promotion link. This would be a chain process, your friends share your promotion to his/ her friends who could share this with their friends.

Orkut Promote link could be found in the left menu bar in your Orkut profile. You can promote simple text message, latest photos  form your Orkut album or a YouTube video link. You can any time stop promoting or delete any of your promotion.

Users can also check statistics of the promotes, how many users have viewed the Promotion and clicked on it, Also how many friends have  shared your promotion with their friends, etc.

Maximum you can create 5 promote for your profile. Thats a limit as of now.. hope this will be increased
