Nokia 6 (2018) Features Snapdragon 630 Chip & USB-C Port: As we all know, Nokia made a major comeback previous year. Nokia branded smartphones are now manufactured and sold by HMD Global. Well, Nokia 6 attracted glances by marking the return of Nokia to the world of smartphones.
However, several Nokia fans were found disappointed because of the device’s processor. Nokia 6 which is a mid-budget smartphone from Nokia runs on Snapdragon 430 SoC. However, it looks like the problem has just been solved, Nokia officially announced the 2018 version of Nokia 6 that comes with some awesome upgradations.
Nokia 6 2018 version is actually listed on the company’s website and it shows that the phone comes with a Snapdragon 630 2.2Ghz chipset. Nokia 6 2018 version even carries a new GPU, the company have replaced the Adreno 505 with Adreno 508.
The devices carry the same 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution and it carries 4GB of RAM. The phone will be available in two variant 32 or 64Gb internal storage and it carries a rear camera of 16 megapixels and on the front, it carries the 8-megapixel camera.
Nokia 6 2018 version will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but the company has confirmed that it will receive an Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade. In terms of design, there are some subtle changes, the body remains aluminum and the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the rear, just below the camera sensor.
Another major change that the company had made is the company has replaced micro-USB with USB-C port. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is still there and it brings WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 5.0 as connectivity options. The phone will go on sale in China later this month and the 32GB variant will be priced at $230 and the 64GB variant will be priced at $260.
